Letter of Gratitude from
Rasim Khalilov, pastor of "Cathedral of Praise"
Church
Dear brothers and
sisters! Dear Church of Christ!
Today I have the honor to refer to all of you with
thanksgivings for everything you have done for our
Church.
As you know, on January 9 this year, the tent
"tabernacle" burned in which we were gathering for
almost a year after the confiscation of the
building. "The Tabernacle" held 600 people. And last
Christmas we have gathered almost 800 people (places
lacked).
Who could imagine that our tent will suffer such a
fate.
But as we know, "in all things God works for the
good of those who love Him!"
As many believers have already heard in my testimony
that it was very, very special time for us! As soon
as news of the fire spread through the Internet and
Television (CNL and TBN), many churches began to
pray for us.
I want to thank Irina Filipyeva, who was personally
involved so that appeal could appear in the air as
soon as possible! Your channel helped us a lot
showing our address! Until now people from different
cities call and communicate with us and say that
they pray for us and our situation!
Thanks to the churches in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan,
Russia for their open hearts! Thanks also to all
those who did not wish to be named in this
message...
We have experienced a
very extraordinary time of grace in the Church!
People in the Church did not complain, did not
panic, but instead rallied and began to speak words
of faith and encouragement! People send me SMS with
passages from the Scripture! One message was: "let
us go over to the other side!"
A special THANK to Leonid Padun! He is one of the
first who immediately after the fire contacted and
encouraged me! Pastors of Ukraine, with whom I have
more than a friendly relationship since my training
in Kiev in pastoral courses, contacted me constantly
and kept sending me encouraging verses from the
Bible! It was all so precious that one cannot put in
comparison with the financial assistance they have
given generously of their hearts!
As if Lord Himself took us in His arms and carried!
THANK YOU, DEAR!
Pastors of Evangelical Churches in Baku also did not
remain indifferent and prayed for us all this time
and compiled for us a considerable amount! But as it
says "money cannot buy happiness"! Happiness is
certainly not in the money! But the fact that in the
most difficult moments beside there is a strong
shoulder of the Body of Jesus Christ, our Lord and
Savior!
